Affliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is an online sales strategy that allows the product owner to increase sales by targeting similar audiences to others - "affiliates" - to earn commissions by recommending the product to others. At the same time, it makes it possible for the affiliates to make money on product sales without making their own products.

Affliate Marketing

The cost of a customer buying a product or service through affiliate is similar to buying directly from the product owner.
While the product owner earns less money per sale because they have to pay a percentage of sales to the affiliate, they are also reaching potential customers who may not reach their own potential.

Affiliates can earn commissions through a one time purchase or recurring income subscription or membership programs.

How it Works?

After accepting into the affiliate program, marketers receive a unique URL that includes their associated IDs. They share that unique URL through text links or advertisements on their customers, site visitors, and social networks. When someone clicks on that link, the associated software record that clicks and sells any resultant product in the associated account. When the commission reaches the pre-determined limit, the affiliate is paid.

How to become an Affiliate?

1. Registering to be affiliated on retail or ecommerce sites. For example, Shopify is an affiliate program, which allows marketers to earn commission on the new Shopify customers.

2. To learn about your favorite products or services, survey the existing customers and then contact those companies to inquire about the affiliate program. For example, a small business marketing consultant can become an affiliate of an email list management and distribution service.

3. Searching online for relevant products for the market site and appealing to the target audience. Most companies offering affiliate programs indicate that there is a "affiliate" or "partners" link beneath their home page's home page.

4. Looking for potential affiliate products on affiliate program managers, including Commission Junction, ClickBank and ShareAcel.
